The Names

Loved this book, its a really original tale thats both harrowing and uplifting in equal measures.

The story revolved around a single decision and how this one small act leads to three different versions of a families story. When the wife of an abusive husband registers the both of their son she has a choice to make, to go with the family tradition and name him after his father, to choose another name that will release him from his father shadow or let her young daughter choose the name. Three names, three possible lives.

I can't recommend this book highly enough, its as cracking debut and deserves the plaudits it has received.
