"An original tale that will leave you scratching your head."
I’ll start off by saying it wasn’t what I was expecting! But in a really good way. I was intruiged by the premise and the story unfolded in a way that was as charming as it was original. The perspective of the narrative is a little odd at first, but soon becomes apparent and is also essential for the plot. There are elements of sci-fi, whodunit and thriller, which makes for an exciting and unexpected read. I thought the characters were rich and brought to life with great care. They are as much in the dark as the reader which really helps to make you feel a part of the adventure, working things out as the plot unfolds. The one thing I did struggle with was some of the character names, I ended up having to just work out how to pronounce them in my head!
