Building awareness & Merry Christmas!

A couple of weeks on from launch and the sales are trickling in. Not a flood, not a torrent, but a trickle. But that's still better than nothing.

I have realised it was maybe not the best time of year to launch before Christmas but I had set myself a 2025 launch so that was the finish line in my head. I have spent WAY more on advertising that I have made on sales but that is always going to be the case up front, building awareness costs money but drives future outcomes.

Over Christmas I am going to sit back, relax, not refresh the KDP dashboard every five minutes and kick off again in the new year. And I have a plan, which is great! One of the downsides of writing such a long book is that I don't expect to get any reviews for a while. It takes time to finish the book, I've read it 5 times so I know! Hopefully people will crack on over Christmas breaks and the reviews will begin to come in in the new year, I hope they are favourable.

In the meantime, happy holidays, seasons greetings, have a glass of something naughty and curl up with a good book, you've earned it!
